ABOUT ME

I have more than ten years experience working and volunteering in a range of therapy environments including not-for profit organisations, an in-patient hospital, the corporate sector and private practice.

My professional experience has brought me into contact with a wide variety of clients from different sectors and cultural backgrounds, each with different needs and different levels of severity in their presentations. I place a high value on conducting therapy in a way that is flexible, relevant and tailored to the client’s needs. Understanding the client, their particular situation, their background and purpose in seeking therapy is central to agreeing with the client and implementing an approach to therapy that resonates with them and allows them to live their life more effectively. To that end, I utilise an evidence based, practical approach drawing from elements from a range of therapeutic modalities which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology, as applicable.

My qualifications include a Master of Laws, Grad Dip in Psychology and a Master of Health Science (Behavioural Science). I am a registered psychologist (AHPRA), an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the Mental Health Professionals Network.
